This year’s Champaign County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting marks the end of a highly successful and award-winning year. We also look forward to 2008, and the benchmarks set before us. The CCFB Annual Meeting, to be held on January 21, will mark the 95th year of this annual gathering of Champaign County Farm Bureau members. The night’s keynote speaker will be former University of Illinois public address announcer, Jim Sheppard.

Complete with a combine ride with a local farmer and possible elevator visit, elected officials get the perfect view of a Champaign County harvest, while Farm Bureau members build relationships with local legislators.

The Wabash River Valley was home of the 12th annual Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom Bike Ride in early September. To raise money and awareness for agriculture education initiatives, nearly 50 riders from across Illinois peddled over the rolling hills and river bottoms of Edwards, Lawrence, Wabash, Wayne and White counties.
