Champaign County Agriculture Today Television Show

The Champaign County Farm Bureau is once again producing a television program called Champaign County Agriculture Today. The program’s purpose is to educate the non-farming community on a variety of agricultural topics within Champaign County. The show is hosted by Champaign County Farm Bureau Board member, Dennis Riggs, and features different speakers who are knowledgeable on each topic. Champaign County Agriculture Today is aired through Urbana Public Television on Insight Cable channel 6 on Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The show is also aired through Insight Channel 2 at 7:00 p.m. each weeknight. Some of our upcoming topics to look for are: food vs. fuel, biotechnology, elevator, conservation, technology, farm bill, Mahomet aquifer, equine, organic farming, weather, drainage, soils, tillage, seeds, urban sprawl, evolution of agriculture, horticulture, ethanol, biomass, bio-diesel, wind energy, myths/facts about agriculture, and many, many more!
