Kirk Builta was welcomed by the Champaign County Farm Bureau staff as Information Director on May 29.
Kirk comes to
Champaign
County
as a May graduate of the
University
of
Illinois
where he studied Agricultural Education with a concentration on Leadership Development. As he completed his degree, he was active in various agricultural student organizations while giving back as an FFA alumni member.
Growing up on a grain and livestock farm near
Bellflower
, he is no stranger to the area. While at the
University
of
Illinois
, Kirk gained internship experience with the
University
of
Illinois Extension
’s State 4-H Office and the
College
of
ACES
Office of Advancement where he worked for two years.
Kirk is looking forward to working with committees, the Farm Bureau Foundation, the Earth Partners Literacy Program and the many volunteers who contribute to the success of the Champaign County Farm Bureau team.
